The Guild’s CNC Special Interest Group (SIG) meets on the 4th Wednesday of the Month at 6:30 pm.
See a YouTube video of Gary Mielke discussing the CNC Router at the Guild HERE.
Here is a short tutorial on how to make a CNC sign or carve the top of a box: CNC_Tutorial
The Guild uses Aspire as the CAD CAM software to design lettering, objects, etc and generate the G-code that drives the CNC machine. If you want to learn Aspire, click HERE for our specific tutorial or see Aspitr’s excellent tutorials and videos available on their web site.
They also have a trial version of the program that you can download and use on your home computer. The trial version will not allow you to save files. You cannot build a project at home and then bring it to run at the guild.
